Ahmed Jallala’s work has concentrated on economic issues relevant to the development process in Libya. He headed the strategic management of the development program directorate. In his capacity as director he supervised the development of the strategic management program (National Economic Development Board) developed by Ernst and Young in collaboration with Oxford Economics.
Prior to that, he was the director of development of business environment and investment directorate at the same institution. His academic work has concentrated on economic development issues relevant to the Libyan situation such as economic reform. More recently his work as an adviser to Libya Enterprise deals with policies and means to develop the business environment and the role of the private sector.
